Dear Friends,
I have given several workshops this year.  Below you will find a link to many of the handouts I
have created for these workshops.  You have my permission to print and use the materials.
However, please do not publish or distribute the materials without contacting me for
permission.  You may certainly send your friends to this web site so that they may access the
information.  I am in the process of writing a book that will contain the following pages and
much more.  I'll keep you informed as to my progress.

  • Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience is extremely helpful in understanding how various

  • A wonderful way to start your year is to create a "Brit" or classroom covenant with
your students on the first day.  This is an agreement for behavior and class values
that will be shared for the year.  Discuss the concept of a "brit" with your class and
have all students sign it.  Look here for sample wording for an 8th grade "Brit"
